Sony Xperia X Compact: The new small screen with 4.6 " and Snapdragon 650

Together with the flagship Sony Xperia XZ, the IFA 2016 formally announced and the much-trumpeted Sony Xperia X Compact. It is a compact version of Sony Xperia X screen with 4.6 inch resolution 720×1280 LCD, Gorilla Glass 4 and design matching with the Xperia XZ.

The Sony Xperia X Compact time Snapdragon Processor 650, Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB RAM, integrated memory 32GB expandable via microSD card. It is made of plastic, which means that there is no need to have visible lines reserved for the antennas, while it is light enough to 135 grams. The dimensions are 129x65x8.5 mm, has a USB port Type-C and flows Android Marshmallow.

The new "small" of Sony has borrowed and camera of Sony Xperia XZ, with all its characteristics. Is 23 megapixels with aperture lens f/2.0, new sensor IMX300, who has a new system autofocus. The camera uses color detection, phase detection and laser-assist for a measure correctly the distance and to pull things in motion. This setup called Triple Image sensing and aims to always provide precise focus for the images and videos.

Sony has not put an optical image stabiliser in camera, but focused on SteadyShot Intelligent Active Mode, which uses 5-axis gyroscope for measurements and sets images and video. He added manual shutter speed control, no 4K video and supports 2x lossless zoom. The front camera is 5 megapixels.

Other characteristics which borrow from the Xperia XZ IS THE USB Port Type-C, time battery 2700mAh with support Quick Charge 3.0 and "adaptive charging" to extend the lifecycle of - learns when charges mobile you during the night, stops the quick charge at 90% and thereafter takes the time until it reaches 100% until the morning. In theory this should double the lifetime of the battery.

The Sony Xperia X Compact placed somewhere between Sony Xperia X Performance and Sony Xperia X, which means that perhaps we will see price of around EUR 500 (the same has not given information about the price).
